Mozilla is all set to go for showing sponsored content in its browser. According to the reports, Firefox 60 will start showcasing sponsored stories for users in the US. The company has already tested out the model successfully among a small section of its users. The Firefox 60 program is all scheduled to go live from May 9 onwards. While reacting to the queries, Mozilla maintained that rather than monetizing their platform, what the company wanted was making browsing experience more personalized one.
Company maintained that it would strictly adhere to the principle of protecting the privacy of users. Earlier, during the early part of 2017, Mozilla had acquired the read it later service Pocket.
