Pegatron, the second largest maker of iPhones for Apple, is reportedly planning to make a major investment in India. Pegatron is also being deployed in the wake of the US-China trade war. The company has already registered its subsidiary in India in Chennai. Representatives of the company are currently discussing their development potential with various state governments. They are looking for a suitable place to place the plants. The Taiwan-based company is valued at more than $ 45 billion.
Apple is also committed to shifting a large part of its manufacturing operations from China. The iPhone is mainly manufactured by three companies. Foxcon, Pegatron, Winstron. Foxconn is the largest company. The second is the pegatron. Foxconn and Winstron had already started construction in India. Liao Xihjong, head of Pegatron, said at Apple’s request that they expand their manufacturing operations to other countries.
