Monsoon red alert revoked from Kerala

The IMD has revoked the red alert, which it had issued in the state, on the wake of a strong monsoon. However, the weather forecasting agency maintained that it would still go with the ‘orange alert’ status across the state from June 10 to 12.  Earlier, last day, the IMD had issued ‘red alert’ in the districts of Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram and Kozhikode.

Informed the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority, though the ‘red alert’ was revoked, the state should be prepared to face heavy rains in the coming days.
