With superstar Mohanlal’s ‘Odiyan’ getting ready to hit big screens in big time, it is just a matter of time, about setting new benchmarks in Malayalam cinema. That said, released couple of weeks ago, Vijay movie ‘Sarkar’ has got the biggest opening in Kerala so far. The record, by all means will go to ‘Odiyan’, as the movie has reached in on terms with as much as 80 percentage of theatres in Kerala.
Now, theatres are reportedly arranging record number of fans’ shows across the state. Going in with the current numbers, ‘Odiyan’ has already bagged 320 shows. With the release date getting near, the numbers are sure to soar to new heights. It is expected that the fans’ show for this Mohanlal starrer will breach past 400 and will directly have an impact on the initial day figures of the movie. So far it is ‘Sarkar’, which leads the chart with 280 fans’ shows as well as an opening day record of over INR 6 Cr from Kerala.
