Mohammed Riyas started his political career through SFI during his school days, he become the All India President of DYFI. Riyas contested from Calicut & Beypore Constituencies in 2009 & 2021 respectively. He failed in 2009 and won in 2021 election. He married to Veena Vijayan, daughter of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in 2020. Mohammed Riyas’s first marriage was with Dr. Sameeha Saithalavi in 2002 and got separated in 2015.
