Microsoft has issued a statement, where it turned down all allegations, which reported about a rift between the company and that of its partner KPMG. Microsoft has partnered with KPMG in India, in its global programme of ‘Software Asset Management’. During the initiative, it is KPMG, which checks the unlicensed use of software by business entities. However, there were reports that that Microsoft was closely analyzing the work of KPMG in India. All started when a BJP leader, Vinit Goenka complained that a KPMG employee had indecently behaved, while undertaking software checking. Soon then, a top Microsoft India official, composed an apology letter to Goenka for the inconvenience, which he had faced.

Back then, the apology letter by Microsoft official, promised Goenka of having a probe on the behavior of the KPMG employee. Though both the companies were reluctant to comment much on the issue, it was later reported that the charges levied against the KPMG employee, was misleading.
