Microsoft, as was reported by insider sources, would soon be rebranding Windows 10 S OS as Windows 10 S Mode. Windows 10 S, which is essentially a lightweight operating system, seems to be not fitting the company’s portfolio. That said, Windows 10 S will no longer be offered by Microsoft as an SKU. Instead, the company would be offering the new S Mode for Windows Home, Pro as well as Enterprise Editions.
While there is no charge for users from Windows 10 Home S to Home, Pro S users will have to play $49 for upgrading to Pro. Going with the reports of Microsoft, as much as 60 percent of its users remain Windows 10 S.
