MG Hector resumes booking The booking for the vehicle will start from October 1. Hector’s booking was suspended by the MG in late July after it received more bookings than its current production capacity. So far, the vehicle has received around 28,000 bookings. MG also announced that its monthly production will go up to 3,000 units from October.
Booking began on June 4. More than 10,000 bookings were received before the price was announced. MG Hector comes at a very competitive price. The low price and the features that are not even in the premium segments are behind Hector’s huge appeal.
The base variants of the petrol engine range from Rs. 12.18 lakhs to Rs. Hector’s come with three engine possibilities. Two petrol and one diesel. The 1.5-liter turbo-charged petrol engine is capable of up to 143 PS and torque of up to 250 Nm. The engine is also backed by a 48-volt hybrid system.
The two-hectare multi-jet diesel engine at Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier is the same. The engine is capable of generating 173 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual gearbox and a DCT gearbox with a petrol engine.
