Maaankam is a much awaited film for Malayalam cinema fans. Mammootty is the hero of the movie, which has shocked everyone. Mammootty shared his picture of the woman in the movie via social media. The photo star shared the news that Mammootty is playing the female lead in the film. Within seconds the image went viral.
The film is directed by M Padmakumar. Expat businessman Venu Kunnappally has produced the movie under the banner of Kavya Film Company. Apart from Malayalam, the movie will also be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Apart from Mammootty, the film also features Unni Mukundan, Master Achyut, Siddique, Tarun Arora, Sudev Nair, Manikandan, Suresh Krishna, Anu Sithara, Kaniha and Iniya.
The film is slated for release on December 12 and has cost more than Rs 10 crore.
