Dulquer Salmaan’s big budget movie Kurup set new records in initial day collection from theatres all over India and abroad. Kurup become the largest release in post covid era. According to the reports Kurup bagged nearly Rs. 4 crore from the box office on first day itself. This is the biggest opening day collection for Dulquer Salmaan films. Kurup placed 3rd position in the most initial day collection in the history of Malayalam cinema after Odiyan & Lucifer.

Kurup baged Rs. 2.5 crore from Kerala box office and reached the second position in all time Kerala box office initial day collection. Balance 1.5 crore collection came from outside Kerala and overseas box office. Kurup is expected to perform better in the coming days and so the collection as well. It will be a game changer for Dulquer Salmaan and his production company Wayfarer films.
Meanwhile Dulquer Salmaan arrived in Kochi with his family today after the overseas promotion of Kurup movie.
