Kunchacko Boban completes 25 years in film industry

Malayalam film industry got one of its charming romantic young boys 25 years back who won the hearts of every Malayali – Kunchacko Boban. His entry to industry in romantic drama ‘Aniyathipraavu’ was popular and received appreciation from the audience. This one film became the highest-grossing Malayalam film till then, establishing him as a bankable actor overnight. He acted in more than 90 films in a period of two decades.

After Nakshathratharattu, Niram and Prem Poojari, he created a “romantic hero” image in Malayalam cinema.
The actor has now completed 25 years in the film industry. Fondly known as Chackochan, he is the grandson of legendary film producer Kunchacko, who also established Udaya Studios. He is also the grandnephew of Navodaya Appachan of Navodaya Studios. Boban is a relative of Jijo Punnose, also a film director. His father, Boban Kunchacko, was also an actor, director, and producer who was part of a few films produced by Udaya.

Kunchacko Boban married a fan of his, Priya Ann Samuel in 2005 and was blessed with a baby boy named Izahaak Boban Kunchacko on April 16, 2019.

Actor Asif Ali, who has shared screen space with Kunchacko Boban for several films’, took to his official Instagram handle and shared a picture of the romantic star with a note that read, “25 years of my superstar.”

Manju Warrier also wrote, “Keep rocking for many more years ahead.”

On the work front, Kunchacko Boban will be seen in “Enthada Saji’, ‘Neelavelicham’, ‘Padmini’, ‘Ottu’, ‘Ariyippu’, ‘2403ft.’, and ‘Nna, Thaan Case Kodu’.
