As a bus conductor turned Covid positive, the Angamaly KSRTC Depot was closed by the authorities.  The conductor, who was working in an Ordinary bus route here for the past some days was diagnosed with the disease. It is in line with this that authorities decided closing the depot after being diagnosed with the disease.

The conductor hails from Mankada, Malappuram; it is after returning from home, which he started showing symptoms of the disease.  The results came and turned positive, soon after which authorities have announced the decision. The conductor has had natural contact with the other employees at the depot.

The decision to close the depot was made in line with the above assessment that the conductor had natural contact with other employees at the depot.  However, the closure of the depot would not be a smooth affair, as several KSRTC buses are coming to the depot, mainly from the MC road and the national highway.
