KSRTC in Laha. Sixteen people were injured when the bus overturned. The superfast bus from Pampa to Thiruvananthapuram met with an accident. Sabarimala pilgrims were in the bus. The passengers were not seriously injured.
The accident happened around 3:30 pm on Sunday. The vehicle lost control and overturned while descending just in front of the Laha lighthouse. The windows of the bus were completely broken. There were 56 pilgrims in the vehicle.
Police and Fire Force personnel arrived and conducted rescue operations. All the passengers in the vehicle got out before the rescuers arrived. The injured were admitted to the hospital. The fuel tank of the vehicle is leaking.
