The authorities have welcomed the Kentucky Fried Chicken food company known as the American fast food chain KFC to Ayodhya. But the authorities also clarified that chicken dishes should not be served.
It is a government requirement that only vegetarian food should be served to KFC customers. “We are ready to give space even to KFC if they decide to sell only vegetarian items,” the official said.
The state government has banned the sale of alcohol and meat on the 15-km pilgrimage route around the Ayodhya Ram temple.
