Kevin murder case: accused ones were identified by the witness

The trial of the Kevin murder case has begun in Kottayam Sessions Court. The trial, which began with the hearing of the main witness Aneesh, has produced fruitful results. Aneesh had identified seven people from the list of accused ones, including the main accused, Shano Chacko. However, Aneesh didn’t identify fifth accused Chacko, along with three other ones in the list.

Earlier, the court had agreed to finish off the trial, considering the nature of ‘honor’ killing. It was on May 27th, in 2018, which a group of people attacked the house of Kevin (24) and seized him. On the very next day, May 28th, the dead body of Kevin was found. Soon then, it was revealed that the group of people, who seized Kevin were the relatives of Neenu, whom Kevin had married. The reason, was found to be the incongruity between the caste status of Kevin and Neenu, with the latter hailing from an upper caste.
