Kerala – Covid19 confirmed to 79 people while 60 cured today

Covid-19 has been confirmed in 79 people across the state today, health minister Shailaja’s teacher said. 15 from Malappuram, 13 from Ernakulam, 7 each from Alappuzha, Thrissur and Kannur districts, 6 each from Pathanamthitta, Palakkad districts, 4 each from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam and Kozhikode districts and 2 from Kasargod district.

Of those diagnosed today, 47 were from foreign countries (Kuwait-23, UAE-12, Qatar-5, Oman-3, Saudi Arabia-2, Bahrain-1, Tajikistan-1) and 26 from other states (Maharashtra). It came from Tamil Nadu (13), Tamil Nadu (5), West Bengal (2), Karnataka (1), Gujarat (1) and Odisha (1). 5 people got infected through contact. Two persons from Thiruvananthapuram and one from Malappuram, Kannur and Palakkad districts have contracted the disease. In addition, a health worker from Pathanamthitta district was also infected.

However, the results of 60 patients who were diagnosed with the disease were negative. 14 from Thiruvananthapuram District (one from Kollam), 9 from Palakkad District, 8 from Kasaragod District, 7 from Malappuram (one from Thiruvananthapuram District), 5 from Alappuzha and Wayanad District and one from Kottayam District (one from Pathanamthitta). The results of the inspection of four persons from Pathanamthitta and Thrissur districts and one from Ernakulam and Kannur districts were negative. So far, 1366 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are undergoing treatment. 1,234 people have so far been released from Kovid.

A total of 1,22,143 people are currently under observation in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,20,157 are under observation in the Home / Institutional Quarantine and 1986 in Hospitals. At least 210 people have been admitted to the hospital.

Over the last 24 hours, 4003 samples were tested. So far, samples of 1,18,893 individuals (including the sample in the private lab) have been sent for testing. Of these, 4081 samples are expected to be tested. In addition, as part of Sentinel Surveillance, 32,534 samples were collected from priority groups, such as health workers, guest workers, social contacts, and 31,093 samples were negative. Routine Sample, Augmented Sample, Sentinel Sample, Pooled Sentinel, C.B. A total of 1,57,117 samples, including Nat and True Nat, were sent for inspection.

There is a new hot spot today. The new hot spot is Kattakada in Thiruvananthapuram district. The wards 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of Kattakada Grama Panchayat have been made into containment zones.
