UP Gangster Vikas Dubey was killed by police in an encounter. The incident took place couple of hours ago, when one of the convoys of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) that was bringing back Vikas Debey from Madhya Pradesh to Kanpur overturned. As was informed by Kanpur IG Mohit Agarwal, Dubey had attempted to flee by snatching pistol of a fellow police officer, after the car overturned. Though police had tried to make him surrender, the gangster fired at the policemen. In return police retaliated and shot the gangster down.
He was later rushed to the hospital, however, doctors confirmed his death later on. During the encounter, 4 policemen were injured. It was on last day that Vikas Dubey got arrested by the Madhya Pradesh Police at Ujjain. It was while he was going to the Mahakal temple, that he was identified by a security personal therein. As a result of the meeting taken place between Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, the gangers would be handed over by MP police to the UP police. The prime accused in the Kanpur Encounter case, Vikas Dubey has been the center of attention of the police forces in MP and UP. Several of the Dubey gang members got killed by the police in the past some days, during various encounters.
