June 29: Oil price hike resumed

Finally, after rallying for 21 consecutive days, the oil prices in the country preferred taking a pause to price hike yesterday. It was the first time in the last 21 days that oil prices weren’t hiked in the country. Today, the price of both diesel and petrol were hiked by 0.13 paisa and 0.05 paisa respectively. With this, diesel marked an increase of Rs. 10.54 paisa, whereas petrol did increase by Rs. 9.18, so far this month.

Ever since the oil prices in the country started getting increased from June 7 onwards, the price of oil never took a dip, with the exception of June 24th, when the price of petrol remained unchanged, whereas diesel continued its hike. It was form June 2017 onwards, which the Oil Marketing Companies in India gained the control over the price of oil.

Petrol: 80.69

Diesel: 76.33
