June 29 Kerala Covid Update: Kerala added 121 new cases

Kerala has marked yet another 100+ day with the state marking a total of 121 new positive cases. On the other hand, the number of samples that turned negative stands at 79. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 4311, while the state’s total active cases have reached 2,057Amongst those who have turned positive today, 78 are from overseas. 26 came from other states, while 5 got the disease through transmission; 3 health workers and 9 CISF officers turned positive today.

The samples of Tamil Nadu native Arasagaran, who died on June 24th, have turned positive today. CM informed that triple lockdown has been announced in Ponnani, from today onwards. This will stay in effect till July 6th. He also maintained that widespread tests would be conducted. In areas, where the situation is serious, more than 10,000 cases would be conducted. As of now, 1,80,617 people are under observation, with the number of institutional quarantine standing at 2,662. Today, Kerala has tested a total of 5,244 samples. Till date, Kerala has tested 2,24,727 samples. Results of 2,774 samples are yet to come. Today, a total of 281 people are admitted to hospitals. Kerala, right now, has a total of 118 hotspots.
