June 26 Covid Update: Kerala adds 150 more positive cases

Today, a total of 150 people were diagnosed with Covid. Out of those who were diagnosed today, 91 are from overseas, while 48 are from other states. 10 people were infected through contact. Five persons in Thiruvananthapuram, 2 in Kollam and one each in Kottayam, Malappuram and Kannur districts (CISF) have contracted the disease. Apart from the above figure, a health worker in Palakkad district has also been infected.
With this, a total of 1846 people from the state have been diagnosed with the disease, whereas 2006 people have recovered from the pandemic. The districts wise breakup of the number of people turned positive are as follows,

Of the affected persons in Kannur district, 6 are CISF personnel and 3 are Army DSC Canteen employees. Two of the infected CISFs were on airport duty.

Right now, the state has a total of 1,63,944 people are under surveillance. Of these, 1,61,547 are under house / institutional quarantine and 2397 are in hospitals. A total of 312 people were hospitalized today.
In the last 24 hours, the state has tested 5859 samples. Including Sentinel Samples, and the rest, the state has tested a total of 2,09,456 samples Of these, 4510 samples are yet to be verified.
