ICMR has reported that India has added 14,821 new covid cases during the past 24 hours. With 445 more death tolls during the last 24 hours, it marked the biggest daily death toll figure of the pandemic in India; so far, it has claimed 13,699 lives from India. The total number of Covid positive cases in India stands at 4,25,282. The total number of active cases in India stands at 1,74,387, whereas 2,37,196 have recovered from Covid 19. It was on last day, which the covid positive cases in India went past 4 lakh figure; iIt took just 8 days for the country to reach from 3 lakh figure to 4 lakh figure.
With 186 more Covid deaths, Maharashtra continues to be epicenter of the country, with a total of 6,170 deaths due to Covid. Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bengal and Madhya Pradesh too are under the radars. Goa reported its first Covid death.
