June 15: Oil price hiked for a straight 9th day

The oil prices in India got increased by a few more paisa, as the country met with a straight 9th day of hike in oil prices. Today, the price of petrol has risen by 48 paisa, whereas that of the diesel met with an increase of 59 paisa. Thus, in nine days, the prices of petrol and diesel have risen by a total of Rs. 4.89 and Rs. 5.12 respectively.

As the crude oil has been showing a firm trend, it the growth is expected to continue in the coming days as well. Now, all eyes are into the central government as to whether they would intervene into the situation, especially since the country is yet to get out of the clutch of coronavirus. After a gap of more than 80 days, it was on June 7th, which the prices of the oil in the country met with an increase.

The revised price of oil in Kochi,

Petrol: 76.52

Diesel: 70.75
