Kerala registered a total of 720 new Covid positive cases. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 274. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 13,994, while the state’s total active cases have reached 8,056. A total of 5,892 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 82 are from overseas, while 54 came from other states.
The state has registered 528 cases through transmission in the past 24 hours, out of which the source of 34 are yet to be traced down. 17 health workers, 29 DSE, 4 ITBP, 1 KLF and 4 KSE officers have been tested positive for the disease. The state has also recorded 1 more Covid death case, taking the tally to 44.

Right now, 1,62,44 people are under observation, with the number of institutional quarantine standing at 8,277. The total number of routine samples tested by the state, stands at 3,08,348; the samples collected from sentinel surveillance, and other high risk category, stands at 1,90,047. Out from the routine samples, the results of 7,410 test results are yet to come. Today, a total of 984 people have been admitted to hospitals. The state has a total of 353 hotspots right now.
