It's a strange situation, it doesn't make any sense to change the title of a movie a week before its release; Lal Jose with criticism

The Censor Board had suggested changing the title of the film Oru Bharat Sarkar Utpannam starring Subish Subi.

The Censor Board demanded that the word 'Bharata' be changed in the film's title only after the release was fixed and posters were put up across the state.

Then the crew decided to release the film under the name of a government product.

Now director Lal Jose, who played a lead role in the film, has come forward to react against the Censor Board's decision.

As part of changing the name of the movie, the cast and crew put a black sticker over the word Bharat on the poster.

Speaking to the media after this, Lal Jose responded that the Censor Board's proposal was strange.

Lal Jose said this is a strange situation. This is a funny movie that doesn't talk about any political parties. There are no political discussions in the film.

It was the name that attracted him to this movie. When I heard this name when I was called to act in this film, I had a smile on my face.

That's when I asked what the story was. Lal Jose stated that he acted in this film because he liked it.

Lal Jose also said that it is unreasonable to change the name of the film a week before its release.

Censorboard has shown a childish attitude towards this film. Lal Jose added that when we know that this decision was taken by the members of the Censor Board of Cinema, we will understand how strange the things we are going to face are.

A Hindi movie titled Bharat is releasing soon. Lal Jose added that he does not know what will happen to it.

The Censor Board had earlier taken the stand that if Bharat was changed from the name to a government product, the certificate of exhibition permission would not be granted. Then, as per the board's instructions, the crew changed the name of the film.

Directed by TV Ranjith, the film stars Subish Subi, Shelly and Gauri G Kishan in lead roles. The plot of the film is about the crisis caused by the government's male sterilization program in a family and its humorous narrative.
