Alibaba AI Lab has partnered with MediaTek in an attempt of collaborating with Internet of Things (IoT). Both have reached in on terms with building smart home protocols, along with customized IoT chips and AI smart hardware. While announcing the partnership, both the players informed about the availability of Smartmesh connectivity solutions in China.
The Smartmesh connectivity solution supports latest Bluetooth mesh technology. It will also speed up the adoption of the technology in smart homes. Alibaba AI Lab’s first voice controlled smart assistant, ‘Tmall Genie’ will get automatically be paired with smart home devices – thanks to the Bluetooth chip co developed by them.
