Instagram has made it sure that it will start filtering bullying comments, which harass people. The latest announcement is an extension of its existing Community Guidelines. Earlier, last year, the company had announced of filtering offensive comments. The feature automatically hides harassing comments from the platform. While announcing the feature, the popular photo sharing app maintained that it had already included the bullying filter. Informing about the new feature through blog post, the company requested users to visit Instagram Help Center for further clarification in this regard.
One thing, which Instagram made it clear through the blog post, was that of guarding the young community members from cyber bullying and making them feel comfortable while on the platform.
