Indian Air force with a plan to buy 33 new fighter jets from Russia

Indian Air Force (IMF) has proposed the purchase of 33 new Russian warplanes in the wake of the continuing Indo-China border conflict. Which consists of 21 Mig 29 and 12 SU-30 MKI fighter jets from Russia.

The project has been under the aegis of the Air Force for some time. But in the current situation, the Air Force has speed up its procedures. It is estimated that it will cost Rs 6,000 crore to buy warplanes. The proposal comes ahead of the Defense Ministry’s final approval at a high-level meeting next week, government sources said.

The 12 SU-30 MKIs replace the aircraft lost by the Air Force in various accidents. Has been requested.
