Kochi: Education Minister V Sivankutty said that the curriculum in Kerala will be revised. The minister informed that the textbooks of classes 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 will be revised first, and the textbooks of classes 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 will be revised in June 2025.
The book will be delivered to the children two weeks before the school opens for the new academic year. The minister also said that the central education policy will not be fully implemented in Kerala.
The central position of not studying the history of the country is not correct. Kerala will prepare the historical truths omitted by the Center separately in the textbook. It will be included in the exam.
NCERT says that the word India should be dropped and Bharat should be used. Minister V Sivankutty also said that the word India will not be removed from textbooks in Kerala.
