Issuing a notification regarding linking policies with that of Aadhaar number, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has advised its customers to not respond to unauthorized messages. The company maintained that LIC has not issued any notice regarding the linking of LIC policies with Aadhaar number; issuing a latest notification, LIC mentioned that customers should ensure that they may never respond to such fraudulent messages. Earlier, it was after a series of faulty messages circulated through social media, which the LIC has come up with this latest notification. As per their latest notification, LIC stated that they had never asked customers for linking their policy number with that of Aadhaar card number.
Through the notification, LIC further made it clear that they don’t have such a facility for linking the policy with that of Aadhaar card number.
