‘If we have a difference of opinion with what Chitra, who has sung so many songs for us, can we forgive him once?; Singer G Venugopal has a note on ‘Chitra’ controversies

Thiruvananthapuram: Singer KS Chitra has been heavily criticized after her video calling for prayers in connection with the Ram Temple.

Singer G Venugopal has now responded to the controversies related to singer KS Chitra.

After the incident, Venugopailan’s response was to the posts that insulted Chitra and called for her to be isolated.

In a social media post, he demanded that Chitra be kept out of the controversy. If we have a difference of opinion with Chitra, who has sung so many songs for us, please forgive us for once? Venugopal said.

There is not even a revolutionary’s home without mothers and older sisters who advise him to chant four names in the evening, go to church every Sunday, and pray five times a day. He also clarified that if there is a difference of opinion, no one abandons them or separates them.

Note-

I have known KS Chitra for more than fifty years now. Recently, a video of the film has appeared on social media. The video is about praying on the day of the Ram temple dedication in Ayodhya. Then several posts appeared insulting the mega singer, a person who no one loves, and the need to isolate her.

All this has caused great sadness for the film which has not been involved in any controversies till date. For the past forty four years, Chitra has only sung songs. There is no reading, writing or political orientation in the picture. As far as Chitra is concerned in any of these matters, only one great temple in India and devotion to it! Music, bhakti, sadhana, love, sympathy, nothing beyond this is in their realm of thought. One thing is clear from the depth and breadth of the work done.

She has contributed ninety percent or more to every song she has sung. I have never heard Chitra’s voice even on a stage even when I was suffering physically. It is a well-known truth that Chitra is a great talent who came to this earth only to perform the task of singing.

If we have a difference of opinion with Chitra, who has sung so many songs for us, please forgive us for once? There is not even a revolutionary’s home without mothers and older sisters who advise him to chant four names in the evening, go to church every Sunday, and pray five times a day.

No one abandons them or separates them if there is a difference of opinion. We Malayalis are obsessed with this new social media toy. Often we bravely walk along a straight edge through it. Sometimes we issue strict guidelines, as in the case of Chitra.

We Malayalis have a picture and a Yesudas to warm the music world under the label of world class. They have done so much more than a human can do in a lifetime. One human lifetime is not enough for us to fully appreciate and appreciate it.

You can be uncooperative with these people. Don’t mince words. None of them are in hierarchies through blood-stained paths. They have achieved immortality in our music world in terms of melody and rhythm. My only request is that we can be careful not to hurt them?? VG
