Writer Saradakutty has reacted to criticism of actress Shobhana’s participation in the women’s conference organized by the BJP at Thekinkad Maidan in Thrissur.
If the organizers are willing to bear the expenses of Shobhana’s level, they will reach any venue. They would tap and hold and read the written speech.
Shobhana is not a person with political thoughts like Mallika Sarabhai or Shabana Azmi. Sharadakutty says that there is no need to be so pessimistic about a person who has no political sense and a note that she has just read to decide not to participate in the BJP conference.
Sharadakutty also noted that if Shobhana is made a member of the Sangh, it will only benefit the Sanghites. Sharadakutty’s words were through social media-
Sobhana has never been heard talking about anything other than dance and cinema till date. Even in long interviews, she does not reveal anything personal except her artistic career. They didn’t seem to care about anything else.
They see their platforms not as a political space but as an artist’s platform. That is why they see Keraliyam, which is a part of Navkerala Sadas, and Modi Vedi as the same.
This is political ignorance. They will write about Modi, Pinarayi and Rahul Gandhi. That is their status in political consciousness. It’s just status. Not a stance.
Tomorrow they will reach the Governor’s platform and the Congress platform. If the organizers are willing to bear their own expenses. They would tap and hold and read the written speech.
They are not going to know or care, even if their gang affiliations exaggerate it. Even if you pay attention, they will have the usual idnt care attitude. There is a certain self-proclaimed sitting and walking that nothing can affect me.
Shobhana is not a politically minded person like Mallika Sarabhai or Shabana Azmi. I don’t think there is any reason to be so unconcerned about someone who has no political sense and a note she has read to decide not to attend the bjp conference.
If Shobhana is made into a gang, there is nothing for Shobhana, it will only benefit the gang members.
