Vijay P Nair’s YouTube dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi and others have dealt with the issue which is creating a lot of controversy in Kerala. Social media is full of people supporting and opposing women in the incident.
Opponents say no one has the right to take the law into their own hands in any name. They argue that they should have approached the police. But their supporters say women now have to take the law into their own hands because they are not protected by the legal system.
Seema Vineeth, a trans woman, has come under fire for her role in the incident. Seema says that when actress Mala Parvathy’s son sent her bad messages, she did not respond and those who tried to settle the issue have now taken a tough line on the issue.
“You have not seen real women, you have seen some filthy offspring,” said Bhagyalakshmi. But Seema asks what feminism they mean by dividing women into two categories.
“How can the misdeeds shown by people in their own homes be free and what others show is an attack on women? I did not see any of them when I had a problem. Because I am a trans woman. No necklace or earrings came that day. ” – Seema wrote on Facebook.
