Chennai: Rajinikanth explains that there is no competition with Vijay. Rajinikanth also explains that his story of the crow and the hawk was misunderstood.
The actor’s reaction was at the audio launch of the movie ‘Lal Salaam’. Rajinikanth clarified that the publicity of being in competition with Vijay hurts him and he is his well-wisher.
Social media interpreted the story of crow and hawk that I told during Jailer’s audio launch program as being about Vijay. I am very sad about it.
Vijay is a child who grew up before my eyes. Vijay was 13 years old during the shooting of the movie ‘Dharmathin Thalaivan’. I remember him looking down at me.
Soon after the shoot, Chandrasekhar brought him to me. I was told that Vijay is interested in acting.
Immediately, I asked him to read. He advised me to come and act after reading. There is no competition between Vijay and me. Vijay, who later became an actor, grew up because of his own hard work.
Soon he is entering politics. I find it very difficult to say that Vijay and I are competing. I have always been Vijay’s well-wisher,’ said Rajinikanth.
While speaking at the audio launch of Jailer, Rajinikanth narrated the story of the crow and the hawk. Social media alleged that it was about the winner.
‘The raven will disturb all the birds. Hawk won’t do that. Even a crow can annoy a hawk. Then the hawk will fly higher without reacting to it.
A crow cannot reach that height. There will be posts on social media saying that when I say this, I mean Innaya.
There are no dogs that do not bark, and tongues that do not rebuke. There is no place in our country that does not have both. We have to go ahead with our work,’ said Rajinikanth.
A section of the social media was of the opinion that Rajinikanth spoke against Vijay’s elevation to the status of a superstar.
Rajinikanth explains in this campaign. Meanwhile, Lal Salaam is directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya
