Launching their new set of smartphones, – Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro – the company claimed to be going to put a tough competition for Apple’s iPhone. To go on sales from November in a number of countries including China, it is not clear that when will the product hits the Indian market. While the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced at EUR 699, which roughly translates into INR 53,400, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro on the other hand, comes with a price tag of EUR 799 – or INR 61,000.
Going into the technical aspects, the Huawei Mate 10 has a 5.9-inch QHD LCD display, with 1440×2560 pixels. On the other hand, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro sports a 6-inch full-HD+ OLED display, with 1080×2160 pixels. It must also be noted that along with the FullView displays, both the phones have a better screen to body ratio than that of Apple’s iPhones. Powered byHuawei’s homegrown HiSilicon Kirin970 SoC, company claims that the devices can be connected to a PC without using a dock, and turn it into a mouse. It features four Cortex A73 cores – which clocked a speed of 2.36GHz, and that of four Cortex A53 cores – which clocked at 1.8GHz; besides these, comes an i7 co-processor, as well as those from the Mali-G72 Mp12 GPU and NPU.
It is interesting to see that, albeit maintaining a slimmer body, Huawei has managed to sport a 4000mAh battery inside both the devices. While the Huawei Mate 10 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro however comes in two variants – With 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, and another one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Both the devices come along with two rear cameras. While one has a 20MP monochrome sensor, the other has a 12MP RGB sensor. The selfie shooter has an 8MP sensor with fixed focus shooter. There are fingerprint scanners on the back of these devices. While the Huawei Mate 10 offers a 3.5mm headphone jack, there is no such a thing in the Mate 10 Pro.
