HP has found several issues regarding the quality and safety of the batteries of its products. The same has forced the company to roll back over 50,000 laptop batteries. The figure accounts for close to 0.1 percent of the total HP systems sold globally over the past two years.
The global PC and printer giant has issued a worldwide voluntary safety recall, informing the same. In a statement issued by HP, the company stated that one of the company’s suppliers had provided subpar batteries. The company spokesperson maintained that the recall and replacement progaramme would address these issues.
