HiLITE Mall cancels trailer launch of ‘Nalla Samayam’; Omar Lulu, Shakeela says sorry to Calicut

Kozhikode’s HiLITE Mall authorities called off the trailer launch event of Omar Lulu’s ‘Nalla Samayam’. The makers of the film had informed that the trailer launch will be held on November 19 at 7 pm. However, when they found that Shakeela was launching the trailer, the mall authorities forbade it.

The mall authorities informed the film’s crew that Shakeela will not be able to participate. The actress was barred citing security issues. After the incident came to light, movie buffs criticized HiLITE Mall through social media. Now, director Omar Lulu and actress Shakeela have come forward to respond to the incident.

In the video, Shakeela says that she is heart-broken and hurt. However this is not the first time she has been facing such bad experiences. “All of you brought me here. But you yourself give me no recognition. I don’t know what is the reason,” said Shakeela.

The film will hit theatres on November 25. ‘Nalla Samayam’ has been censored with ‘A’ certificate’.
