Delhi: An 11-year-old boy who was thought to be dead appeared before the Supreme Court during the hearing of the murder case. The film-defying incident took place during the hearing of the special leave petition in the Supreme Court last week.
The twist that beat the movie took place during the hearing of the case related to the murder of an 11-year-old boy from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh.
During the hearing, the murdered 11-year-old appeared before the division bench and informed the court that he was alive.
The boy revealed that he was alive and that his father had planned his murder story to frame his grandfather and uncles in a false case.
The child was staying with his mother’s father. She died after her father brutally beat her for demanding more dowry. Later, from February 2013, the boy started living with his maternal father, a farmer, the lawyer said.
Following the death of his daughter, the grandfather filed a complaint against his son-in-law. Later, the son-in-law also filed a case demanding the custody of his son. Then he filed a case against his father-in-law and four brothers-in-law, alleging that his 11-year-old son was killed.
But they approached the Allahabad High Court seeking quashing of this FIR, but the court rejected their plea. Then he went to the Supreme Court and produced the baby alive. The case will be heard in January next year.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court said that no action should be taken against the complainants till further order. The court also sent notices to the UP government, the Superintendent of Police at Pilibhit and the Station House Officer of Nuria Police Station.
