Google.org set to give $3 Million grants to Indian non profits

Google.org has announced of giving a grant of $3 Million to the Central Square Foundation and The Teacher App. Along with the Non Governmental Organizations, Google.org would help increased exposure to quality content for teachers. This must be read in accordance with the report released by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The report of MHRD stated that as many as 11 lakh school teachers in the country were under trained.

According to Google.org, the fund would be used to scale the performance of 500K teachers in two years. The amount would be used to empower teachers with right materials on math, science, language, pedagogy and to name the rest. Going in line with the plans of Google.org, a minimum of 20 content creators would produce at least 200 hours of quality lessons across various disciplines.
