It is important for you to not miss a chance generating Universal Account Number (UAN), but why? Well, the 12 digit UAN identification number, which is issued by the Employee Provident Fund Organization to its respective members, is meant to PF related services. That said, with Aadhaar card being widely used in all the notable spheres, it seems like generating UAN is no longer an issue itself, with an Aadhaar card number in your possession.
While generating a new UAN, it is important that you have your mobile number registered with Aadhaar ID. It is because, the whole process is undertaken with the help of an OTP authentication process using your mobile number. In order to complete the procedure, you just have to follow these simple steps.
- Access the EPFO portal, followed by clicking the tab ‘Online Aadhaar Verified UAN Allotment’. On this new window, you have to provide the required details, such as Aadhaar Id and details. After this, just click on the ‘Generate OTP’ tab.
- You would receive an OTP in your mobile phone, which you have to enter on the portal. By entering the OTP on the portal, you can notice that the ‘Submit’ button is activated, under which you have to check the disclaimer. After checking the disclaimer, you can now click on the submit button.
- Well, now you will see that all the details regarding your Aadhaar Id will be there on the screen. At this point of time, you have to fill the required fields, and check the ‘disclaimer box’. Up next, you have to enter the CAPTCHA, in order to prove that you are not a robot. Well, by clicking on the ‘Register’ button, the UAN will be allotted, which shall be informed via message.
