FEUOK lifts ban on Dulquer Salmaan

Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) has lifted ban on actor Dulquer Salmaan following their general body meeting held in Kochi today. He was banned for releasing his film ‘Salute’ on OTT.

Dulquer’s production house’s representative submitted an explanation to the body, detailing their helplessness due to a contract formed with an OTT platform, where the movie was released a few weeks ago. As per reports, the production house has agreed to release their upcoming films in theatres.

FEUOK had alleged that the actor cheated them by offering theatrical release for the movie.

The Roshan Andrrews directorial was initially slated to release on January 14, 2022 in over 300 screens across the state. However, the release of Salute was cancelled at the last minute due to the spike in pandemic cases. The movie, which is scripted by the National award-winning duo Bobby-Sanjay, has been selected for the green matte entry at the prestigious Rotterdam International Film Festival.
