In line with the security breach news reports gaining headlines, social media giant Facebook has met with yet another setback. The report published by the Reuters Institute, suggest that Facebook news has become an unpopular option amongst the social media users. The study conducted across 37 countries, saw ‘social media news’, being used by merely 6 percentage of users. However, despite the parent company suffering from a bad image, popular apps such as WhatsApp and Instagram have managed attracting users.
The report highlighted one point that users are thriving for real content rather than the rampant fake news reports. It must also be said right here in that, users are increasingly preferring digital assistants in searching real news reports.
