All of us must have traveled by train at least once in our life.
But have you ever wondered why yellow lines and blue lines are painted on the train like this? Many people don’t even notice this.
A large number of people in our country were once illiterate. As we all know that there are different types of coaches in the train.. Each coach is marked in different colors for easy identification by the illiterate people.
But later, despite the literacy of a large section of our population, we still follow this custom. Just as parties still continue to use their symbols in elections, the practice continues in trains.
If white line is given above the coaches then it is general coach.
Coaches for the differently abled and sick will be yellow in colour.
Special coaches for ladies will be painted in gray color and the stripes above it will also be grey.
First class coaches will be gray in colour. It will have red lines above it.
Meanwhile, the blue color is given to the coaches of the trains which can take a speed of 70 to 140 km per hour. Such coaches are known as ICF coaches.
Coaches of trains having AC ICF coaches will be red in colour.
Similarly, the train which has the facility to travel only by sitting will have green lines.
