Elaborate Republic Day celebrations in the state; Governor praised Prime Minister and Kerala

Kerala too with colorful celebrations as the country celebrates the 74th Republic Day. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan saluted the Republic Day Parade in Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of Chief Minister. In his speech, Governor Arif Muhammad Khan said that he wished Malayalees all over the world. In his welcome statement, the Chief Minister also said that the values upheld by the Constitution must be protected.

At the beginning of the speech, the Governor extended his greetings in Malayalam. In his speech, he praised the state government and the Prime Minister. Kerala has set a good example in social security. The state has done well through start-up missions. He said that Kerala took inspiration from the country’s progress in industrial growth. The governor praised the LIFE scheme and pointed out that the health sector of Kerala has made great gains.

The Narendra Modi-led administration has made the country the fifth largest economy in the world. The Governor said that India has a non-aligned stance towards terrorism.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the constitution defines the essence of India as a democratic country that embraces diverse cultural characteristics. Freedom of expression and belief must be preserved for all citizens. He said that by upholding the importance of the Constitution, secularism and democracy can be moved forward.
