Thrissur: Actor and BJP state vice president Devan said that he did not become vice president to get a seat in the elections. Devan was responding to the media after being selected as the state BJP vice-president.
He became the vice president not to get a seat in the election. Devan said in Thrissur that he will not contest this time. Devan said that he hopes that Suresh Gopi will win.
Devan also responded about Bheeman Raghu and Rajasena who left the BJP. Bheeman Raghu and Rajasenan are not politicians. It did not come in the name of politics. Devan also told the media that they came in the name of glamour.
Meanwhile, Devan is coming to BJP by merging his own party, Kerala People’s Party. Devan’s entry into the BJP was at the concluding stage of the Vijay Yatra led by BJP president K. Surendran.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah accepted Devan into the BJP. After Suresh Gopi, another Malayali film star is coming to the leadership of the state BJP.
