‘Coviself’ Covid testing kit will hit the market in a few days. Covid Self, India’s first Covid testing kit, will be available in the next two to three days. The Rs 250 self-examination kit is also available on the government’s e-marketing site. Prior to the kit, which helps to perform self-Covid testing, the ICMR Permission was granted. The results of the Rapid Antigen test conducted using the Rs 250 kit will be known in 15 minutes. Only those with symptoms of Kovid-19 should use the kit. No continuous inspection is required. If positive, RTPCR is positive. No need to check. RTPCR should be performed as soon as the patient receives a negative result. Should be checked.
The kit includes a tube, a sterilized rod to take samples from the nose, a test card, and a bag for safe disposal. The kit was developed by Mylab Discovery Solutions Ltd., Pune. The company plans to launch seven lakh units of Coviself per week.
