Covid19 Community Spread in Kerala; IMA warning

The IMA says that the Covid 19 community spread is already happened in Kerala. IMA President Abraham Varghese told to media that he had notified the Chief Minister about this. The IMA has come to the conclusion that there are three reasons to confirm the community spread.

1. Increasing number of patients without symptoms.

2. Even the health workers who do not treat the Covid patients get the disease.

3. Those who come to other states from Kerala without symptoms are covid positive.

The IMA pointed out that the number of tests in the state should be increased and more tests should be conducted among health workers. Disease control is not easy when it comes to community outreach. Restrictions should be tightened with increasing tests and finding patients faster.

The IMA reminds us that this is the time for people to act responsibly. It is the time to think about going back to lockdown. Many misused the concessions offered during the unlock period.  Many of the people thinks that Covid would not affect them. To hold such people accountable, control must be tightened.

Many do not maintain physical distance. There are crowds in vehicles and markets. Some not wearing the mask properly, instead they place it around the neck. The crisis can only be overcome if the people show more responsibility with the regulation, the IMA said.
