Covid Positive Malayali Nurse and her 2 Children Trapped in Delhi : Devoid of Treatment

NEW DELHI: Malayalee nurses who were diagnosed with coronavirus in Delhi are not receiving treatment. A nurse who was diagnosed with the disease last night has been staying with her two sick children. They are housed in a cottage. The ages of children are eight years and four years old.

So far, 16 nurses and two doctors, including Malayalees, have been confirmed in Delhi. The coroner’s office said they were ill because of the lack of adequate safety precautions to care for the sick. They complain that they are not getting adequate treatment.

I am a staff member of the Delhi State Cancer Institute, who has been admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Hospital. My Husband is in Kerala. I and my two children are in this hospital. I have no other choice but to raise my children. “We don’t get any treatment here,” the nurse says in the video message released.

Since this time, no one has come to test my children. They don’t give us any water to drink. We are put in the General Ward. They are not willing to arrange a room for us. Nobody does anything for us. We don’t get any treatment. She does not know what to do with her two children. The local government should do something for us. ”The nurse adds with tears.

Pathanamthitta MLA has said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s office is intervening to resolve the issue. Veena George said. The MLA said that the chief minister’s office had contacted the director of the Delhi Cancer Institute. Added.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on the issue of nurses. The letter also calls for nurses to take precautions including personal safety equipment and provide safe accommodation.
