As the Covid 19 briefings of today has revealed, Palakkad marked yet another low turnout day of positive cases. The district has registered 5 more positive cases, all of which are for people, who came from outside. The following are the positive cases that the district registered today – A Kongad native (52), who came from Mumbai, Thrithala native (30) from Kuwait, Polppulli Panayur native (50), Delhi; Pattambi native (22) and Anakkara native (29) – both from Dubai.
Meanwhile, the district also received 6 negative cases as well. With back to back low Covid turnouts for the past some days, the district – which once was reeling under tremendous pressure due to huge number of positive cases – can now sigh. However, health department maintained that they would continue to be vigilant, owing to the spike in positive cases in neighbouring districts and proximity to Tamil Nadu.
