Today, 27 of those posted are from overseas. Nine people from Tamil Nadu, 15 from Maharashtra, five from Gujarat, five from Karnataka, two each from Pondicherry and Delhi have been diagnosed with the disease. All seven were caught by contact.
The number of those being monitored has crossed one lakh again in the state. There are 104336 people currently under surveillance. Of these, 103528 were in homes and 808 in hospitals. Today, 186 people have been admitted to hospital. So far 56704 samples have been sent for inspection. Of these, 54836 have been confirmed as non-infectious.
Malappuram, Palakkad, Kasaragod and Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Kottayam were the worst affected. So far, 963 people have been diagnosed with the disease in the state. 415 people are currently undergoing treatment.
