Telecom major Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have hiked rates for pre-paid mobile subscribers. The new rates will go into effect tomorrow. All three companies have increased the price of their current call and data packages by up to 40 per cent.
Vodafone-Idea has also stated that it will be charged sixpence per minute for other calls to other networks. The company has also introduced a two-day, 28-day, 84-day, and 365-day package, with applicable price increases. Vodafone-Idea is currently offering a package of 1.5 GB data per day at Rs 199.
